Oppo has launched the R7 Lite and R7 Plus smartphones in India priced at Rs. 17,990 and Rs. 29,990 respectively. The R7 Plus smartphone will be available starting September 10 and will be offered in Gold and Silver colour variants while the R7 Lite will be available from September 25 and will be offered in a Gold color variant only.

In terms of specifications, the dual-SIM Oppo R7 Plus features a 6-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a 2.5D Arc-Edge screen. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 3GB RAM.

The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based ColorOS 2.1 smartphone offers 32GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. It includes a 13MP rear camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera. It is backed by a 4100mAh non-removable battery.

The dual-SIM Oppo R7 Lite features a 5-inch HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a Snapdragon 615 SoC coupled with 2GB RAM.

It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded via microSD card. It includes a 13MP rear camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB with OTG, and GPS. A a 2320mAh non-removable battery completes the package.

Microsoft upgrades its Surface tablets to Windows 10

Consumers interested in buying one of Microsoft's Surface tablets will now find it with Windows 10 preinstalled. Microsoft's  online page  for its lower-cost Surface lineup shows that the tablet now comes with Windows 10 Home edition. The page for the pricier and beefier Surface Pro 3  indicates that they're outfitted with Windows 10 Pro edition. Microsoft has been on a tear to push out Windows 10, partly to make up for the poor response to Windows 8 and partly to get as many Windows users as possible all on the same platform.
