Jaguars release their own video game

The Jacksonville Jaguars were one of the first NFL teams to offer their own emoji keyboard, and now they're believed to be one of the first to offer their own video game.

The team debuted Duval Dash during last Sunday's victory over the Miami Dolphins. It's an eight-bit game, so it looks a bit old school (think some of the old Atari games).

In addition, the team said the site also will have polls, social competitions, contests and other pieces of content. The Jaguars hope to launch two games per year on Jaguars Arcade, the team said.

"Jaguars Arcade was designed as a means to engage with our brand while enjoying a challenging and fun digital experience,” said Steve Ziff, Jaguars vice president of marketing and digital media. "Our goal is to reach Jags fans of all ages, and we look for this to be a key entertainment asset to grow the relationship and interact with them all year long. We will continue to create and develop more digital and mobile offerings in the future."

Microsoft upgrades its Surface tablets to Windows 10

Consumers interested in buying one of Microsoft's Surface tablets will now find it with Windows 10 preinstalled. Microsoft's online page for its lower-cost Surface lineup shows that the tablet now comes with Windows 10 Home edition. The page for the pricier and beefier Surface Pro 3 indicates that they're outfitted with Windows 10 Pro edition. Microsoft has been on a tear to push out Windows 10, partly to make up for the poor response to Windows 8 and partly to get as many Windows users as possible all on the same platform. The company has been offering Windows 10 as a free upgrade to Windows 7 and 8.1 users for the first year. Last Thursday, Microsoft announced that the new OS was running on 14 million devices since its official launch the previous day.
